Did you know Peter Wolf was married to Faye Dunaway in the 1970's?
J. Geils' first name is not "Jerome" but "John W. Jr."
The idea for the song Centerfold was taken from an actual real live event in which
Danny Klein was looking at a girlie magazine and recognized someone he knew sans clothes inside the issue.
The band has an affinity for motorcycles, especially Italian Ducati's.
Magic Dick's real name is: Richard Salwitz
Magic Dick holds patents for harmonica's he's developed
Peter Wolf's real last name is Blakefield (according to his sister Nancy) but he changed it. During his artschool days in Boston he roomed with the man who would later write "Twin Peaks" TV show.
Peter Wolf was a disc jockey for WBCN in the late 60's. He did special dj duties for many years during the station birthday bash.
Seth was a Freshman at Boston University when he dropped out to join the band.
The band lived together in the early days in Mission Hill area of Boston.
Seth's brother Paul Justman directed The J. Geils Band Videos.
Juke Joint Jimmy was a name Peter Wolf made up for when the whole band collaborated on a song or music.
The band U2 opened for the band during the Freeze-Frame Tour and ignited the crowd so much that it is lore that someone pulled the plug on them to get them offstage.
Peter Wolf and Stephen Jo Bladd were originally in a band called Hallucinations
before they formed the J. Geils Band during the mid-60s.
