hi, i just saw your web site. i live next door to dylan. he's a really nice
guy. good job on your page. catch ya later. LazyNut
Something cool that happened yesterday. I rarely have the chance to watch Dylan in his show but of course I'm aware of his face and name. Well, yesterday I was just sitting in a pub here in Calgary, AB, Canada and right outside Bill Pullman pulled up in a limo. We were all in awe, because how often do you get to see a star? A few minutes later, who sits in the booth behind ours? Dylan McDermott!! Although I am not a loyal fan, I still respect his work and felt very lucky to be able to be graced with his presence. He was sitting with 2 other actors and they were discussing the film or show they were filming here and when it would wrap up. I wish I had said something to him, but he seemed too relaxed and I didn't want to bother him with my star struck self. But I thought I would just tell you this little story. Great page by the way! But you really should be here because the girl I was with when I saw DM saw him again yesterday having lunch in the same restaurant she was in. You'd probably end up seeing him like 29 times a day if you were here. Especially if you were really looking. Anyways, I'll keep my ears and eyes open for any news. Take care! ==Sarah.

Shiva used to be in an acting class with me at California State Universtiy, Northridge. She always had impeccable style and she used to wear vintage clothes all the time. All the guys liked her and all the girls were jealous of her. We could just tell that she was going to go onto an amazing life...and I was shocked to discover this morning that she has...from a friend of mine who was in the acting class and who used to work in a store next to Betsy Johnson and hang out with her. I remember she was very nice.....Yes, my friends and I saw this and we were eating our envy rags....what a life, huh? looks like I was sitting on the wrong side of the class.--Victoria

I had the pleasure of meeting the charming actor [Dylan] a few
months back while I was working, I was not to familiar with him as I did not
get to watch his show, I saw a few people getting his autographs, as I
started talking to him, I found him to be a super guy, who was as down to
earth as they come, and super, super nice and hard to believe but even
better looking in person, he took the time to sign an autograph for me and I
even had about a ten minute conversation with him, let me tell you since
that moment I would not dare miss an episode of the Practice, i really have
to say you picked a great guy to dedicate a fan page to, he really deserves
it. His wife is probably the luckiest lady around to have such a super guy.
Have you ever met him?? Well once again I wanted to share my story with a
fellow fan of Dylan and the show, once again you have a great site. --Jackie
October 1998:
I was surfing the internet when I came across your website.
I just wanted to share a funny story with you. I'm from Las Vegas and the night
they were filming the chapel scene in "Destiny Turns on the Radio" I met Dylan McDermott.
As luck would have it, my boyfriend's sister was getting married at the same chapel that
they were filming at. My boyfriend and I were walking out on the street because they had
the sidewalk blocked off with sand bags, when I looked over and saw Dylan McDermott
standing at a "mock" phone booth, making a call. I waited until they were done with the
scene and ran over to him, and like a little school girl, asked him for his autograph.
He was a perfect gentleman. He asked me my name and then asked if I was getting married
there. hahahaha I told him I would have more sense than to get married at a place that
had a drive-thru!! I love Vegas, but the "Little White Chapel" wouldn't be the place I'd
get married. I had his autograph laminated the next day!! Love the site! --Victoria
October 1998:
I guess that you can figure out that I'm a HUGE fan of Dylan too since I'm
writing to you. You probably already know, but Dylan was on Conan on Oct 2
as well. I was lucky enough to come upon Conan tickets for Friday, and I
had no idea who the guests would be. I flipped out when I found out that
Dylan was on. What are the chances that I would be given tickets for a
random date and Mr. McDermott would be the guest? It was a great show...I
sat in a state of awe since I was in the same room with him. Just thought
that I would let you know.. --Eliza D

He's Lovely! Back in August of this year I went to the Dodger
celebrity baseball game specifically because I found out he would be there.
So when they announce him I'm screaming insanely at the top of my lungs for
him. About 4 or 5 rows down from where I was sitting, these two guys turn
around and look at me like I'm crazy. They don't understand how much
admiration/attraction I have for Dylan. Now the Celebrity game is over. I
was content; I was in the same building as Dylan. Was I in for a surprise
when he walks down the same row I'm sitting in. I felt my heart beating fast
and then faster when he sat down only 4 to 5 rows down from me. Ironically,
with the same guys that turned around and looked at me earlier. I was in
heaven! I build up enough courage to walk over and tell him I was an admirer
of his work. He was very friendly and pleasant. I got good vibes from him. He
was not like other celebrities. Not to mention he was Gorgeous! Then I asked
him for his autograph. He was GREAT! I was in heaven for days. Now when I
see him on television or in print I appreciate him even more because of the
experience I had with him in person. That's my Dylan experience. A Dylan Fan, LibVenus
September 1998:
I work at [an electronics superstore] in L.A. where I met Dylan earlier
this evening, which prompted me to check out your page. The Practice is one of my
favorite shows, and while I see alot of actors here in L.A. I usually never introduce
myself to them but I had to make an exception in this case. Anyway what a nice guy!
As for Dylan's attire he was dressed smartly, just cool urban wear, subtle, tasteful.
Black tee under a brown sweater, jeans and black shoes I think. No doubt you saw
the modeling thing he did in People Mag.
I congratulated him on the Emmy wins and his other work, but I'm afraid I neglected
to ask about any future cross overs or plans regarding the Helen/Lindsay/Ally deal.
Not sure about what he bought, I was coming back in after break and an associate pointed
him out at the front counter, so I went over and shook his hand and introduced myself.
Sorry didn't catch what he was getting, hewas probably waiting for something from the
warehouse. But he was very receptive to me, nice to chat with and really approachable.
I had a lot of questions but didn't want to interrogate him. He's a very striking guy,
though not quite as tall as I expected, probably like 6'1" or so. Must be
the TV :) I was told he comes in the store every few months so I hope to
see him again in the near future. --Thinker@
august 1998:
just came across your web page; i work in l.v. at the hilton hotel. on friday
penn and teller were taping a show that is to air on 8/10 i think, on the f/x
network. dylan was a guest, and god, was he gorgeous in person.. anyway... just wanted
to tell another fan. my friends think i'm crazy for liking him, and they dont
think he's good looking... odd, huh? --lisa
May 1998:
The museum of tv and radio has a tv festival once a year to honor new quality
tv shows and this past march they honored The practice and ally mcbeal. by
coincidence, the festival is held in the directors guild of america theater
complex where I used to work...so i know all the security guys and ushers!!!
my friend let us in a few minutes before everyone else on the condition that
we didn't sit in the very front row (cuz all the people who had been standing
in line for 4 hours might not like it!) so we sat in the 4th row center. What
happens at these things is all the cast (!) and director, writers, producers
come and they show an episode of the show on the big screen (cuz it's a movie
theater) and then they have a question and answer session for about an hour.So
the whole cast showed up and of course David Kelley came. He's a very cool
guy, he came up on stage and said he wanted to give us a treat so he brought
an episode to show us that hadn't aired yet, that was not even done being
edited, but if we could forgive the flaws he was willing to let us watch it!!!
(oh geez David what do you think?) so we got to see the episode where Rebecca
is getting an award for her animal care contributions but she kills the rat in
the office ( I thought that scene with all of them up on their desks when
dylan walks in was HYSTERICAL!!!) I was laughing so hard I was practically in
tears!! What's fun is the cast gets to sit in the audience and watch it with
us and they get a kick of seeing the reactions live. anyway, after that they
all went and sat up on stage and Dylan looked unbelievable (pant, drool,
swoon, etc.) I felt like Ally, how every time she sees him her tongue falls
out of her mouth or she's licking his face or something. I kept thinking how
nice it would be if I could just go up there and sit on his lap for a little
while and cuddle with him, maybe nibble on his neck a little bit...he looks
like he smells really good too....anyway it was a lot of fun and of course
everyone wanted to know about the cross over episode, but they wouldn't tell
us too much. I was completely opposed to any romance between Ally and Bobby
until I actually saw them dancing together in Ally's season finale...I had a
complete change of heart..I think they had great chemistry together and she
brings out a side of him we don't usually get to see, but he's still the Bobby
we know and love....--Janet
