Being country folk from the midwest we haven't been exposed to all the
glitz & glitter of the 'beautiful' people, so I don't usually spend much
time on things that are not part of my reality. However..this last
Thanksgiving weekend my father passed away giving us all pause for
thought. I decided I wanted to do something real special for mom. She's
82 this year & has quite an attraction to you (assuming I'm writing this
to Mr. McDermott, of course!!) Anyway, she has a cut in half poster from
the movie 'Til There Was You' on the wall in front of her bed so you're
the last thing she sees at night & the first thing in the morning. She
tapes the practice every Sunday even as she watches it! I'd almost be
concerned, but, what the heck? It keeps her busy & somewhat blissful. I
haven't seen her this ga-ga since I was a kid & noticed how in love she
was with Paul Newman!! I don't really know where I'm going with this &
actually feel a little stupid even typing this as I doubt you will ever
even see it. And with all the cuties & starlits invading your privacy,
who needs a little old lady from Omaha? Well, I do. At least you won't
have to worry about her crawling up through a window to crawl in your
bed!! (poor Brad!!) Guess I just wanted to air this as I've been going
through McDermottville for items with which to make a scrapbook for her
birthday. I guess I'm thankful for the internet to have this opportunity
even if it is fruitless & silly. Hope you have a wonderfully successful
year, professionally & privately. Whether we get any response or not
won't really matter as I won't tell her I wrote this so as not to get
her hopes up & allow for a certain letdown. I don't want her feelings
diminished in any way as you have really brightened up her life. For

I have been a fan ever since I saw you in "In the Line of Fire" with Eastwood. I was very unhappy about your character being killed before the end of the movie.

Helen. (Sorry, biased.) It's a real shame that we don't get "The
Practice"on our local channels or even cable tv that' why I had a hard

Practice. It's the best drama on TV right now. E.R. is great, but I get
tired of seeing blood and death for a whole hour. Your show is refreshing

one where you play a criminal). I don't think I could watch you play a bad part.

I watch and tape "The Practice" every week. I am on my seventh videotape
now and luckily Thursday, April 30, is my payday because I need another
tape. I tell everyone that I know that if they want to watch a good show to
watch "The Practice" and if they want a good movie to watch one with you
or Chuck Norris in it. My sister used to work at the Movie Korner here in
town and she was always getting people to rent "Til There Was You" when it came out.
When it came out, she brought it home the night before it went on the
shelf the next day. We used to get free rentals.
