What people are emailing me about Dylan May 1998

Hi, I really like you page! Remember me? I wrote to a while back regarding is address/autograph..... Where did you read the thing about the FBI advising many celebs about the stalkers. Anyway, I have been autograph collecting for awhile and I have received many response. I guess it just up to the stars. I know that Dylan doesn't sign through the mail. You kind of have to get his autograph in person or buy if from an autograph dealer. I know you are a huge fan of his. I wanted to tell you that there's a site called Shooting Stars (www.starshots.com) that has 10 in person photos of Dylan. They picture are great. I just purchase a couple of my favorite actors. Anyway, if you contact them please say that Clarabelle mentioned the site. Take care and keep up the good work, Clarabelle

The museum of tv and radio has a tv festival once a year to honor new quality tv shows and this past march they honored practice and ally mcbeal. by coincidence, the festival is held in the directors guild of america theater complex where I used to work...so i know all the security guys and ushers!!! my friend let us in a few minutes before everyone else on the condition that we didn't sit in the very front row (cuz all the people who had been standing in line for 4 hours might not like it!) so we sat in the 4th row center. What happens at these things is all the cast (!) and director, writers, producers come and they show an episode of the show on the big screen (cuz it's a movie theater) and then they have a question and answer session for about an hour.So the whole cast showed up and of course David Kelley came. He's a very cool guy, he came up on stage and said he wanted to give us a treat so he brought an episode to show us that hadn't aired yet, that was not even done being edited, but if we could forgive the flaws he was willing to let us watch it!!! (oh geez David what do you think?) so we got to see the episode where Rebecca is getting an award for her animal care contributions but she kills the rat in the office ( I thought that scene with all of them up on their desks when dylan walks in was HYSTERICAL!!!) I was laughing so hard I was practically in tears!! What's fun is the cast gets to sit in the audience and watch it with us and they get a kick of seeing the reactions live. anyway, after that they all went and sat up on stage and Dylan looked unbelievable (pant, drool, swoon, etc.) I felt like Ally, how every time she sees him her tongue falls out of her mouth or she's licking his face or something. I kept thinking how nice it would be if I could just go up there and sit on his lap for a little while and cuddle with him, maybe nibble on his neck a little bit...he looks like he smells really good too....anyway it was a lot of fun and of course everyone wanted to know about the cross over episode, but they wouldn't tell us too much. I was completely opposed to any romance between Ally and Bobby until I actually saw them dancing together in Ally's season finale...I had a complete change of heart..I think they had great chemistry together and she brings out a side of him we don't usually get to see, but he's still the Bobby we know and love....anyway I guess I've rambled on enough for now. What did you think of Bobby and Ally together? --Janet

May 29,1998
I agree. A poll of website visitors is in order! And I would like to know what Bobby does when he goes home alone. Video games? TV? Call his Mom? Sleep? Anyway...Keep me informed, --Christina >I did get the articles you sent. thank u so much. I really appreciate it. >I think it >reveals his character as a person more too. He sounds sweet. Yea lets have >a vote with website visitors. Who do you want to have as Bobby Donnells >steady girlfriend on The Practice and list the choices and see who the >fans pick. could be interesting. i will vote for lindsay too. ally is a >spaz tho >she could get him to be a bit less uptight,. Ally gets insight into bobby >only when she is angry. She is so sensitive and defensive is why she lashes out >at his judgements. but he left her to hang in the wind! so. what i would >like to see is the characters not continue making the same mistakes over and over. >character growth and not the same old "Bobby likes a chick he works with or >for, kisses her, sleeps with her, fight with her, breaks up with her, then >works with her." well when you are married to your work you have no home life. what does he do when he is home alone? hm --Erika

Ok, I'll check back on the web site. Keep up your labor of love, PLEASE! Jennifer

No, actually the show will be moving to Sundays at 10 beginning in September. Summer reruns are still on Mondays at 10. The RKL interview was good. He talked about having is daughter in Central Park and how much fun it was. He didn't talk about his wife though. He seemed really subdued or tired--probably exhausting shooting a movie (it's filming in Toronto, BTW) immediately after ending a grueling TV shooting schedule. Have you had any recent contact with Becky, the girl who said she had all the episodes on tape? I have tried to contact her via e-mail several times with no luck. If you talk/type with her, tell her I am interested in borrowing her tapes and will pay her to do so. Also, I have been communicating with Carmody, another Dylan fan. She seems really nice. She and her Mom watch the show and forgot to tape the season finale, so I sent her my tape. Well, have to run. Have a great weekend. Christina

did you see Dylan in "People"?...talk about hott...i think they said he was "liquid sex and walking orgasm" --Sapfire

May 27, 1998
I just want to say what a handsome face Mr. McDermott has. He also is a pretty good actor. I like his character in the Jersey Girl. I enjoyed seeing him on Aley Mcbeal. He needs to play in a hot romance movie again! Keep. I am not sure who will get this mail so it sounds impersonable. I appologize! Enjoy all the mail from the fans! --Denise B.

May 26, 1998

Just love your Dylan page - keep up the good work! Really annoyed at the moment because the network that has the rights to The Practice here in Australia is yet to show any of the second season episodes - so thanks for the summaries. I wonder is there was a way I could get to see the second season - is it on video? I am a regular visitor to your site and I LOVE Dylan McDermott!!! Regards, Carmel

May 23, 1998
Wow...absolutely great web site - can't wait to read all of your comments and stories - you're very entertaining and thank you, thank you, thank you for supplying the info., the pics., the EVERYTHING. He is beyond beautiful. I LOVE the Practice; watch it all the time - but unfortunately missed all the hot sex scenes - wow...your descriptions should be published - I had quite a visual. Hey, don't know where you live, but here, CA, on Sunset - there is the biggest picture of him on one of the tallest buildings around - I'm sure there has to be at least 50 near-car crashes - an hour. I just kept saying, "Oh, my God!" Keep in touch and I can't wait to read more. Oh, and thank you for the greatest contribution to my wallpaper. Take care! --sassi

omigod girl you are an angel!! i've been looking for this sort of site for weeks!! between his general looks, and those sapphire eyes... mmmm... i sooo like that guy. i'm driving my friends nuts with him!! thanks for the INCREDIBLE site! --Ana:)

May 22, 1998
Did you see Dylan on Regis and Kathy Lee yesterday? My Mom taped it for me. It was pretty good--short though. He was promoting the Practice and its move to Sunday nights at 10:00 and his new movie "Three to Tango" with Neve Campbell and Matthew Perry. Sounds like a good movie. I'll be in touch. Have a great weekend. --Christina

May 21, 1998
I LOVE Dylan Mc Dermont and I'm only 12!!! --TRan

May 21, 1998
thanks for the photos - just discovered him on The Practice! --Jennifer

May 21, 1998
Thanks so much Erica, for this website! I've been a fan of Dylan'''s since Steel Magnolias...you can imagine how I felt when he got his own series! Not only is he gorgeous, he can act....Bobby Donnell is intelligent, sexy, sensitive, edgy, passionate--McDermott is able to give us a real, non-macho, complex male character....and did I mention he was gorgeous!! I hope The Practice sees us us well into the millenium.... PS--I think his best performance was in a movie of the week with Jami Gertz--Jersey Girl, I think...maybe you can post some shots from that movie...

Hi, I am having trouble loading your Dylan McDermott page. I would really like to see it as I am a devoted fan. When I click on the link it starts Java and then I see the title at the top of the page. After that Netscape just shuts down. Have you had any other complaints or is it just my computer trying to deny me my Dylan fix? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also I really love the picture of him at the bottom of the main page, the one with the red background. Where did you find that? Thanks, Laura

May 21, 1998
HI, very nice job on the Dylan page!!! I have to assume you saw him on the final Ally McBeal....that kiss they had was something to see!!!!!! thanks for the page.....--joan :-)

May 20, 1998
Of course I absolutely LOVE Dylan McDermott. Who in their right mind doesn't? Lora (Do you have some good links for him?)

May 19, 1998
Dylan is sooooooooooo fine!!!! --Zonk888

May 19, 1998
Hi, I like Dylan too. Did you see him in Ally McBeal, I liked that show with him in it. --lr

May 18, 1998
by the way, if you ever want to chat about Dylan's considerable (ahem) attributes, feel free to e-mail me....I've seen him up close and in person...he is as good as he looks on tv...bye! --Janet

May 18, 1998
I am taping Ally McBeal tonight, as I will be out most of the evening. I DO NOT want to see Bobby and Ally together. I think David Kelley would get much more mileage out of a Bobby-Lindsay story line. Don't we all yearn for a REAL love story? Anyway... I watched "Destiny..." last night! Dylan was hot, of course, but the movie was strange. I liked him with Nancy Travis, though. 'Thought they made a good on-screen couple. Well, have to run. Keep me posted on Dylan news! I try to visit your web page weekly, but I am swamped at work right now and I don't have a computer at home. --Christina
Reply to: >thanks ever so much for the articles! I got them Saturday. Very >interesting. Esp how he >let women chase him except when he met shiva he "knew" she was the one. I >can >only hope that happens to me. I imagine since The Practice has only >had >two seasons some of the first season shows will show up in reruns this >summer. >I haven't heard too much else. but dont miss Ally McBeal tonite (or tape >it) >coz Dylan is on and David Kelley hinted there may be a romance between the >2. >She is quite a spaz. She could loosen him up and keep him in line and he >will >ground her and let her know when she is getting out of hand. Remember Helen >does not like Ally at all. Helen is very no nonsense. >Erika

Finally, someone who thinks the same way I do!!! Just wanted to say thanks for all the pictures, I just set one as my wallpaper -- geez, I may never turn my computer off or even leave my apartment again......now, if we could just get him to take his clothes off more often....hmmmm....Bye! --Janneybabe

Yeah, I've developed a crush on Dylan McDermott, too. He is one fine looking man, but for me, it's that voice that just sends me - especially when he talks very low. That sexy quality to his voice is effortless for him - can you imagine him whispering in your ear? I perk right up whenever I hear a toyota commercial - I thought that sounded like him, but wasn't sure until I saw your web site confirmation. (great site, by the way!) Reading your synopsis on the home page, though - I didn't see the "steamy" shower scene, and now I'm kicking myself for it! Well, there's always the re-runs this summer! :) --Kim V.

May 16, 1998
I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED DYLAN MCDERMOTT WHILE WATCHING HIM ON ALLY MCBEEL SINCE THEN I HAVE RENTED SEVERAL OF HIS MOVIES AND CONSIDER MYSELF A FAN!! --Valerie

May 15, 1998
My name is David Odis H. I live in Laurens, South Carolina. I like Dylan McDermott as a TV and movie star, especially in the TV program The Practice, and all of his movies except 'Til There Was You. My favorite movie star is Shaquille O'Neal. My worst movie star is Jeanne Tripplehorn. For this reason, Trip smokes too much. --Richard H.

The changes to your web page look great! Did you get the articles I sent you? 'Hope you enjoyed them. I guess I will have to tape Ally McBeal next Monday, but I do NOT want to see Ally and Bobby together. Ally is neurotic, so I can only hope the appeal of having the two of them get together will wear off quickly. I think a REAL love relationship (not just sex) between Bobby and Lindsay will do more for the longevity of the story line. Don't you think? Don't get me wrong, the sex scenes between Bobby and Helen were hot, but how many of those is an audience supposed to endure before we start wanting more for them? Besides, I think Lindsay has a more accurate and more mature insight into Bobby's psyche, whereas Ally is pretty much in his face in a condescending way. That's my two cents. 'Have to run. --Christina P.S.: I e-mailed Becky regarding her tapes of the Practice and she never got back to me. 'Any other folks you know who taped all the episodes?

May 14, 1998
I like your web site a lot. It's inventive and creative. I know I will be sending many more hours there! -- Andrea F.

May 14, 1998
i got into him when i saw him in Steel Magnolias that came out in the 80's one of his first movies -- LSJJBB

May 13, 1998
He will be on Ally McBeal next Monday (the season finale) as Ally's new love interest! YES, YES, YES! Ally and Bobby, just imagine the shower scenes...oh god! I think David Kelly heard my prayers! What do you think? I love your Dylan page, and I am "Erica" too, well not "Erika"...hehehe --*Erica K.*

May 13, 1998
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE DYLAN MCDERMOTT -- LSJJBB

May 12, 1998
Help!! I forgot to tape the last nights' season finale of "The Practice." Many people are mad at me. Does anyone have a copy of the 5/11 episode on tape that I could get a copy of? I am willing to pay all costs and/or make a trade. I have almost all X-files episodes and many TV mini-series. Return E-Mail okay (use my name as subject): FKSlaw@compuserve.com.
Great Web Page Erika!! Thanks!!!!! Carmody H. - Torrance, CA

May 12, 1998
I think that his costar, Camryn Manheim, said it best, "The man is liquid sex. He's a walking orgasm." I discovered Dylan McDermott when The Practice first aired with only 6 episodes. I was hoping that ABC would bring it back, not only for those piercing blue eyes, but the wonderfully written show also. I've been hooked ever since. Andrea F.

May 12, 1998
So did you watch it last night? I saw about the first 2 or 3 minutes and had to go to sleep. I am busy every evening this week, so I probably won't get to watch it until Friday. Don't tell me what happens! Did you hear, is ABC going to show the first episode in reruns this summer? Let me know. Thanks. Christina

May 11, 1998
Nice to hear from you again. I watched "Home for the Holidays" over the weekend! It was slow at first but really picked up when Robert Downey came in. I tried to rent "Destiny..." but the grocery store where I rent did not have a copy. I guess I will have to go to Blockbuster. Did you see his picture in "People"? He is in the most recent issue as one of People's 50 most beautiful people. Mmm mmm mmm. He looks delicious. It is a must see and would be a great photo for your web site. Yes, this Monday is the season finale, so don't miss it! The preview looked really good. Did you see him on Aly McBeal? That was a good show! If you only got into Dylan last August, you have to rent Steel Magnolias. It is a fantastic film and he is just darling in this movie! It is a tear-jerker though. That's when I first started following him, but until "In the Line of Fire," there really wasn't much being written/reported about him. I totally agree about Hollywood. I visited LA four or five years ago and hated it. I would never live there--it is a very shallow place and everyone is so enamored with stars and the whole Hollywood scene. Yuk. I will put the article in the mail along with another one I found you might like. Take care and keep me informed on all the scoop! Christina

May 10, 1998
I've been watching The Practice only since February or so, but I'm hooked. Dylan McDermott is the most awesome thing since sliced bread. I rented "The Fear Inside" a few weekends ago, and he is wonderful in it ... in fact I really like the movie. He is wonderful, and I can't wait to see him again on the big screen. Hopefully he has something in the works. Lorri

Wow! You got back to me fast! Thanks for the info about Becky; I will contact her. I think the May issue of Cosmo is out already so the April issue may be unavailable. I will mail you my copy if you like; give me your address. Monday night's show was fantastic! I can't believe you missed it. My Mom watched it after I did (I have it programmed to tape every week) so I am quite certain it has already been taped over or I would send it to you. About Regis and Kathy Lee-- it's been so long, but I think he said he was depressed because he hadn't had any auditions/offers in such a long time. Then pow! He got the "In the Line of Fire" role and met his girlfriend all in the same week/month. Something like that. About Shiva-- I thought that name sounded Indian. Is she from India originally, or was she born/raised in America? Just curious. I have not seen any pictures of her, and like I said before, I didn't even know he was married until I read the Cosmo article. I was so sad to find out he got hitched. Not much had ever been written about him until the Practice. I fell in love with him when he played Julia's husband in Steel Magnolias. Most of his other movies, with a few exceptions, have been very mediocre, don't you think? I mean, I thought "'Til There Was You" was stupid. But watching him for two hours was worth the $3 and a boring plot. So he was the proverbial bachelor, huh? Do tell! How do you know all this stuff? I am a fan, but wouldn't know the first place to look for this info. You must be resourceful! Are your pictures on the web site? I surf your page on my lunch hour and have not had a chance to look at and read everything yet. You're right, we have to get them before they get famous. And the cloning thing-- ditto. Take care, Christina

May 7, 1998
Hi Erika, Thanks so much for your letter and all your hardwork keeping the webpage updated. You did a great job changing my letter around and making it sound like more of fan letter. Didn't our boy do a fabulous job of acting on The Practice Monday night.????I wonder if you could tell me how many more shows are left this season and which day will be the finale? Will anything happen between our man Bobby and Lindsay??Did you see ( I am sure you did) that the practice came in 19th place last week in the Nielsen ratings. What a boost. I am just hoping Dylan gets the crossover part in a movie that will make him a screen idol. As far as I am concerned, he is one already. Take care and keep me posted. Joan C.

May 7, 1998
I have been surfing your web page and think it's wonderful! Thanks for taking the time to compile all that info. for the rest of us. I am a late comer to the Practice. I must admit, after LA Law, I did not want to get hooked on another lawyer show, but Dylan is so beautiful, I had to start watching. I saw one or two episodes last fall and started watching regularly in January when it moved to Monday evenings. Do you know anyone who has recorded all the episodes who might be willing to loan them to me so I can catch up on all the history? I'm not interested in buying the videos, but I would be willing to "rent" them from someone and then send them back. Any information you may have would be greatly appreciated. By the way, the April issue of Cosmo has a one-page interview with Dylan if you're interested. It wasn't until I read this article that I even knew he was married with a daughter! I must admit, I am still a little depressed. I remember him on a Regis and Kathy Lee show promoting "In the Line of Fire" saying he thought his acting career was over when he got that role. He also said he met his girlfriend (I assume his wife) at about the same time in Venice, CA. You may have already heard that, but I thought I'd share it with you since you were looking for info. on his wife, Shiva. Take care, Christina Battisti

May 3, 1998
Dear Erika, I think your Dylan McDermott sight is terrific. In the movie "Let Sleeping Dogs Lie", there is a scene where he is coming down the stairs in a towel after a shower. Wow!!!!!! Hope you can get it for your photo gallery. I'm glad to finally find a sight for Dylan, I think he has the most star power of anyone in the movies today. He did a scene with Helen Hunt in "Into the Badlands" that was pure magic. They fell in love over a bottle of whiskey in an afternoon in Laredo, Tx. The movie itself is abysmal, except for this scene. Keep up the good work, I'll check back soon. Thank you, Ida

May 2, 1998
Love our boy Dylan. I have always been of a fan but I honestly do not like his choice of movie parts. If he had the right part, he would be huge. I know you agree. I got my girlfriend into the Practice and I think she likes it better than me. Just kidding. She didn't even know who Dylan was. Your web page is great. I just found it after several days of trying to get some type of info on Dylan. I AM so happy the show's ratings are improving. Erika, I wonder if you agree with me on this one point. I really don't care for Lara Flynn and it's difficult enjoying some of those love scenes. But I do try!!!!I actually think Lindsay is a much better choice: personality and looks. Do you think they will start their own law office? This should be interesting. I couldn't believe how Dylan just looked at Lindsay when she admitted she still loved him. But what a look. Thanks for all the info on articles and magazines. I hope to check some of it out. Take care . Keep me posted. Joan
